Meet the friendly staff at County Animal Hospital!

  • Dr.
    Robert J. Weiner, VMD, ABVP (Canine/Feline)

    Dr. Robert Weiner is a 1980 alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He joined County Animal Hospital in 1981. He was certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practice specializing in Canine and Feline Medicine and Surgery in 1988 and was most recently recertified in 2016. In 2018, Dr. Weiner became a Certified Fear Free® Professional.  He is honored to serve as the 2019 President of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society.  Dr. Weiner is a member of the Westchester/Rockland Veterinary Medical Association (WRVMA).  Dr. Weiner and his wife Ronna are parents to Marc, Eric (a veterinarian himself), Lara and Scott. They are also the proud grandparents of Ava (daughter of Eric and his wife Sarahbeth).  They share their home with a herd of dogs and cats and a bird or two. When he isn’t working or at a veterinary meeting Dr. Weiner loves to bicycle, ski, listen to jazz and ride his motorcycle.

    Susan Rothstein, DVM

    Dr. Susan Rothstein has been caring for patients at County Animal Hospital since 2008. She qualified as a veterinarian at the University of London - Royal Veterinary College in 2003. Before perusing a veterinary degree Dr. Rothstein obtained a bachelor of science in Animal Science at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Dr. Rothstein’s professional interests include: soft tissue surgery, dermatology and veterinary hospice care. In 2018, Dr. Rothstein became a Certified Fear Free® Professional.  She is a member of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society (NYSVMS) and the Westchester/Rockland Veterinary Medical Association (WRVMA).  When not practicing veterinary medicine Dr. Rothstein enjoys spending time her family and her border terrier.

  • Jodi Sherman, LVT, MA

    Before Jodi joined County Animal Hospital in 2005 she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at Boston University. She then earned her Veterinary Technology degree at Penn Foster College (an online program) while raising 4 children and working full time. In 2014 she passed the licensing exam. Recently she earned her certification as a Fear Free®professional. Currently she acts as the externship supervisor to all our Veterinary technology interns. On occasion you can also find her caring for sick pets at Veterinary Emergency Group on Route 59 in Nanuet, NY. She considers herself a perpetual student and continues to fulfill her need to learn by attending continuing education classes whenever she can. Aside from her passion for Veterinary medicine, Jodi likes to play with her 3 grandchildren and enjoys hiking with her husband Michael and their dogs, Gracie and Jack.

  • Sandra Pfeffer, LVT

    Sandy Pfeffer is a Licensed Veterinary Technician, who recently graduated with honors from Mercy College with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She also has a dual degree from University of Delaware in Criminal Justice and Sociology. When she is not working she enjoys reading and spending time with her three cats Milo, Malcolm and Biggs.

  • Brianna Rivieccio, LVT

    Brianna is a licensed veterinary technician and has been working with animals since 2012. She graduated with honors and received an associate's degree in veterinary technology from The Veterinary Tech Institute at International Business College. She is very passionate about doing everything she can to help animals in need. She has two dogs, Bucky and Teddy, and a cockatiel, named Lucy. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and going camping.

  • Alex O’Kane

    Alex earned a B.S. in Animal Science, with an Equine concentration from SUNY Cobelskill. She is working toward finishing her degree in Veterinary Technology from San Juan College out of New Mexico, USA . When she is not working with us she works at an Emergency Hospital, where she is gaining skills toward her future goals and sitting for the national exam. She has been in the veterinary world since 2012. She loves her dogs Spud ,Gia, and Smokey and her horse Freer.

  • Wendy Wintman

    Wendy joined us in late 2017 as our Hospital Manager. With 35+ years of office management experience, Wendy keeps the CAH office humming.  Her newest passion here is her work on our social media pages (be sure to check us out on Facebook!!).  No stranger to family pets, Wendy, her husband and two (now grown) children have raised gerbils, birds, water frogs, water turtles, lizards, goldfish and dogs.  Lucky, at 18-1/2 was one of the oldest canine patients at CAH.  They currently have two dogs -- Leela and Fry, adorable Morkies.

  • Ellen Farmer

    Ellen, a proud grandma, has been handling the front desk for more than thirty years. Ellen has a wonderful dog, Jack who often accompanies her at the desk.

  • Danielle Rivieccio

    Danielle works at our front desk during the evenings and most Saturdays. She truly enjoys working with animals, and has a cat of her own named Luna. During the day, Danielle works at ARC of Rockland, helping people with developmental disabilities. She has a B.A. in psychology, along with experience in both customer service and caring for animals. 

  • Jackie Camus

    Jackie is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. After volunteering at animal shelters for a few years, she realized her biggest passion is working with and helping animals. Jackie then decided to go to SUNY Delhi  and she earned her associates degree in Veterinary Science. When she isn’t working at CAH, she is spending time with her family, friends, and three dogs, Charlie (a Cavachon), Sparky (a Papillon), and Cece (a Chihuahua).
