Career Opportunities

Seeking a fulltime Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. County Animal Hospital (CAH) is located in Rockland County, NY. CAH is a privately owned, one-doctor practice. Our rich history and heritage dates back to 1933. Robert Weiner, VMD, Diplomate ABVP (canine/feline), has been here since 1981. Our goal is -- and has always been -- to deliver exceptional care that promotes a lifetime of good health for our patients while also supporting the needs of the people who love them.

We are open Monday – Friday, 9-6; Saturdays 9-2. After-hour emergencies are directed to a local after-hours emergency hospital.   Hours are flexible and work/life balance is respected. CAH is an AAHA accredited hospital providing medical, surgical, dental, nutritional and behavioral care. Our patients include dogs, cats, and birds. We also have some other small companion pets as patients. (Experience with birds is a plus, but not required.) All our veterinary technicians must be licensed by NYS. Dr. Weiner and our LVTs are all Certified Fear Free® Professionals. The hospital features the complete Idexx in-house laboratory suite and ultrasound examinations and digital radiographs are available in-house as well.  Training will be provided. Additionally, as a member of VMG (Veterinary Management Group), CAH has access to training programs.

Just 15 minutes north of the Mario Cuomo Bridge and a 30-minute drive northwest of Manhattan, picturesque Rockland County is a perfect location for those who enjoy quietly recharging in nature (hiking and skiing) or for those who enjoy the kind of hustle and bustle (shopping, cultural activities and restaurants) that a metropolitan city has to offer. We provide a competitive salary and offer an array of benefits.

Potential employees will have mentorship with access to the owner at all times. All of this in a fun, relaxed environment where the focus is not placed on production numbers or patient quotas; instead on quality medicine and happy patients and clients. If you would like to become part of a warm, enthusiastic and professional team with an excellent community reputation and a positive work culture, we encourage you to apply!
